One, two or three steps
The main points in 30 seconds
Footwork isn't 'faster and more' but choosing the right steps for each shuttle.
- Choose steps by the shuttle: low and fast — one step, a bit higher — two, high and slow — three calm steps.
- Don't chassé everywhere: the feet get crossed, the body doesn't turn, and only the arm hits.
- As soon as you see the direction, take the shoulder back first: the feet follow the take-back.
- What matters is the last plant step on the right foot: it gives the body turn and a strong swing.
- Don't step backwards without need: it makes footwork heavy.
